diet coke and traveling...

Diet Coke now has Splenda.

This is very exciting news. Splenda is better for you, and the best part is that it tastes a bit sweeter making it taste somewhat more akin to Cola Light of Europe. Which I'm fucking ob-sessed with. It's awesomely amazing. I know they can't release it here because it has some calories or whatever but it's so damn tas-tay.

Clearly Diet Coke with Splenda does not taste exactly the same, but it still tastes really good. I bought a case of it yesterday at CVS and was very pleased to see they already have it in cans. But not only does it taste really good, meaning it'll be a better mixer with alcohol, but Splenda will not kill you, or force you to lose your memory such that is the beauty of NutraSweet. So Stretch? There might still be some hope for you yet.

Picture it. Conn College early fall 2004. It's Stretch's 21st birthday. She's the most obsessed with Diet Coke, or you know, DC as she lovingly refers to it, out of any of us. What are a group of friends to do to make her birthday special?

Why buy 21 cases of DC and stack them up in her doorway in the morning, blocking her in her room.

Priceless.

Also? I would like to pimp today a very cool company. I was on SFist reading an interview with the creator of this travel company called Tango Diva which is all about providing women with information about traveling around the world alone. It's a pretty cool website, and totally something helpful for women. There is no need for women to not travel alone and safely, but it also provides other fun information such as a style, and a wellness section. I can't really do justice, but it's a kickin' website.
